Once upon a time I carried a small notebook in my pocket. In addition to jotting down ideas and lists of things I needed to buy or needed to do, I wanted to remember the interesting people I met on my journeys. I called it 'collecting characters.'
There were many characters to collect. Everyone has a story.
My own story is reflected in the image on this page. It is my prediction that I will finish and publish my own tale of growing up in rural West Texas. It includes my service in the Marine Corps and later forays into martial arts and ballroom dancing. More important to me, it includes the characters I met during my adventures.
My story is still going. So is yours. But there is always more, usually behind the scenes.
For example, by ensuring that a San Diego law firm's resource materials were up to date, I saved the firm time and money when their opponent used outdated references. My client won the case with a little anonymous help from me.
A start-up dance studio needed material for their website blog page. I wrote their press release and an additional blog post to help them tell their story. Endearing tales look better on a website than empty space, and I was thrilled to be able to discreetly help fill that space.
I would love to help you share your story with the world.
